Dr. Norman Roach (Dr. Norm) is the guru in the practice. He has been in private practice, supervising, and training psychologists for over 40+ years. He has also been in academics, teaching the theory and practice of psychotherapy at the graduate level for over a decade. In fact, Dr. Roach was the primary training mentor for Dr. Keil and continues to be the backbone of Keil Psych Group. This practice quite literally wouldn’t exist without him.
His primary focus and commitment, however, has been the art of practicing psychotherapy. Dr. Norm’s describes his philosophy of treatment as “being human, the human connection and love.” His is a true master clinician. His interests and expertise include trauma, grief, women’s issues and fear.
In terms of background, Dr. Norm received his doctorate degree in clinical psychology in 1976 from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. He has been practicing in Orange County California for the past 40 years and has taught at Chapman University and Cal State Fullerton. He is married, engulfed in family life with three children and one grandchild.
