Endogenous Depression

Endogenous depression is a type of Major Depressive Disorder thought to be caused by internal factors, such as chemical imbalances in the brain, rather than external life events or stressors. Symptoms include persistent sadness, fatigue, and difficulty enjoying activities. Treatment usually involves medication, such as antidepressants, to address the biological aspect of the disorder, along with therapy to manage emotional symptoms.
