SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that occurs at specific times of the year, most commonly in the winter when there is less natural sunlight. Symptoms include low energy, fatigue, and feelings of sadness. Treatment often involves light therapy, which exposes individuals to bright artificial light, along with psychotherapy and possibly antidepressants to help alleviate symptoms and improve mood during darker months.
