Bereavement-Related Depression

Bereavement-Related Depression occurs when the normal grieving process becomes prolonged or complicated, leading to major depressive symptoms. While grief is a natural response to loss, individuals with bereavement-related depression may struggle to function in daily life due to persistent sadness, hopelessness, or difficulty accepting the loss. Therapy, such as grief counseling or CBT, is often used to help individuals process their grief and prevent further emotional decline.
