Manic Depression (Bipolar Disorder)

Manic Depression, now known as Bipolar Disorder, is characterized by extreme mood swings between manic (high-energy) episodes and depressive (low-energy) episodes. During depressive phases, individuals may experience sadness, fatigue, and loss of interest. Treatment usually includes mood stabilizers, antipsychotics, and psychotherapy to help manage the extreme shifts in mood.
