Post-Traumatic Depression

Post-Traumatic Depression occurs after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. It is often associated with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) but includes prolonged periods of sadness, hopelessness, and lack of interest in life. Treatment usually involves trauma-focused therapy, such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), along with CBT to address both the trauma and depressive symptoms.
